  • Time: 9-4 PM each day

  • Location: University Center Ballroom, Southeast Missouri State University, 975 Normal Ave, Cape Girardeau MO 63701

  • Lunch: One hour lunch, on your own

  • Intended Audience: Superintendents & Assistant Superintendents, Principals & Assistant Principals, Teachers, Department or Team Leaders, Instructional & Tech Coaches, Curriculum Directors, University, Professors, Preservice Teachers , Partners

  • Registration: This event is hosted by the Poplar Bluff School District with seats available for GOCSD Members. Staff from the Poplar Bluff School District do NOT need to register through GOCSD.

  • Fee for GOCSD Members: $175 for both days.

  • Registration closes on July 18th

  • Substitutions are encouraged as refunds will not be provided.

  • Learn effective systems to provide targeted support for students who need additional time and guidance.

  • Unlock the power of formative assessment by using effective practices to drive individual student growth.

  • Examine teacher collaboration structures and strategies to provide ongoing teacher support.

Emily Feltner, EdD, has over 30 years of experience working with schools and districts in leadership, literacy, and school improvement through implementing professional learning communities (PLCs). Her diverse roles as a teacher, coach, principal, district administrator, and consultant give her a broad perspective on leadership and learning. As the former Assistant Superintendent of Teaching, Learning, and Leadership for Lake County Schools in Florida, she led one of the largest school systems to achieve recognition as a Model PLC at Work® district. Today, she works with schools and districts nationwide, helping them transform their systems through the PLC and Response to Intervention (RTI) processes.

Our GOLearn PL Framework provides an overview of the learning experiences we offer. This systems approach supports continuous improvement and allows members to identify the offerings that meet their needs, providing a personalized experience. We use the Learning Forward Standards for Professional Learning when designing our experiences to ensure that we provide professional learning that leads to high-quality leading, teaching, and learning for students and educators.
