GOCSD offers free networks that are open to all and some exclusive networks only for our members.

GONetworks Open to All

GOCSD organizes free networks, open to members and nonmembers. These networks connect educators in similar roles, forming a supporting community in our region. They are all about catering to participants' interests and professional growth. These networks offer:

Agendas Customized for Your Needs: We encourage participants to add to our collaborative agendas, which will be shared when registering for a session. This way, we can ensure that the topics discussed are exactly what you need to enhance your skills and address the challenges specific to your role.

Idea Exchange and Resource Sharing: Our networks are a place where ideas flow freely, and experiences are shared openly. Participants engage in meaningful discussions, brainstorming sessions, and idea exchanges, applicable to their day-to-day challenges.

Expert Facilitators: Our networking sessions are facilitated by a regional experts. Their expertise will guide the discussions, making the sessions engaging, informative, and incredibly valuable.

Are you passionate about leveraging data to drive positive change? Join us for an enriching experience that promises engaging conversations around pertinent topics and sharing of resources across districts. The GOData Network invites you to be a part of a vibrant community where expertise is shared and collaboration is encouraged. This event caters to all experience levels, so whether you're a seasoned pro or just starting, you're welcome to join us.

Are you passionate about coaching and supporting others? Are you focused on helping others grow in teaching skills which results in high levels of learning for our students? Our GOCoach Network for instructional coaches or those who assume the responsibilities of this role, provides an opportunity to participate in engaging conversations around pertinent topics in the areas of curriculum, instruction, and assessments. Each session will also share valuable coaching tips and resources.

Third Thursday Thoughts

Third Thursday Thoughts

Join us for the Superintendent's Third Thursday Thoughts, where challenges are met with collaborative solutions! The superintendency can indeed be a solitary journey, but this network taps into the wealth of expertise across our region.

Led by GOCSD's Executive Director, Dr. Pam Hedgpeth, this network convenes on the 3rd Thursday of each month, from 9-10 AM, to provide a supportive space for superintendents from Member Districts to navigate challenges collectively. Each session kicks off with superintendents sharing their current hurdles, sparking discussions on diverse strategies and solutions. Experts on relevant topics will periodically contribute insights, enriching our collective understanding.

GOKey Communicators

GOKey Communicators

GOKey Communicators are local community members, parents, retired educators, current educators, and preservice teachers who are interested in advocating for public education and the needs of students in their communities.

GOKey Communicators regularly contact regional legislators about:

  • the impact of proposed legislation on students in their communities

  • the importance of public education

  • the good things that are happening in their schools

For our GOCSD members who are committed to serving as GOKey Communicators, we provide free training and a community of support.

GOLearn Professional Learning Framework

GOLearn Framework

Our GOLearn PL Framework provides an overview of the learning experiences we offer. This systems approach supports continuous improvement and allows members to identify the offerings that meet their needs, providing a personalized experience. It includes three strands: Systems Thinking, Safe and Collaborative Culture, and Highly Effective Teaching and Leading.

We use the Learning Forward Standards for Professional Learning when designing our experiences to ensure that we provide professional learning that leads to high-quality leading, teaching, and learning for students and educators.
