SW Seated Session at Logan Rogersville MS Safe Room, 8225 E Farm Rd 174, Rogersville, MO 65742. Attendees at this location will see all of the speakers in person. Attendees will engage in discussions and activities with others in the room, as the on-site facilitators lead communications.
SE Virtual Engagement Room in the Computer Lab at Poplar Bluff R-1 Administration Building, 1110 North Westwood Blvd, Poplar Bluff MO 63901. Attendees at this location will remotely view all the speakers, engage in discussions and activities with others in the room, as on-site facilitators lead communications coordinated with those at the SW location.

Round Table #1
Dr. Dishman and Dr. Thompson will share insights into Republic School District's innovative approach to student learning experiences. They will discuss the implementation of internal internships and real-world learning opportunities, highlighting how these experiences prepare students for future success.
Additionally, they will provide an overview of upcoming summer learning initiatives, including potential partnerships and unique programming. This interactive session will offer participants the chance to engage in a roundtable discussion, sharing ideas and best practices with colleagues.

Branson Public Schools will share how they leveraged the Career Ladder program to create a summer externship, providing educators with firsthand exposure to a variety of sectors in the Branson area, including nonprofit organizations, healthcare, and public safety. Participants gained valuable insights through these lived experiences, which enabled them to foster partnerships and develop real-world learning opportunities for students of all ages.

Dr. Gage Tiller, Director of Carthage Technical Center, will highlight the success of the week-long CTE/STEM bootcamp that was offered last summer to middle school students in Carthage. Over the course of four engaging days, students had the unique opportunity to rotate through eight diverse programs, where they deepened their understanding of each field while actively participating in hands-on projects. This immersive experience not only sparked curiosity but also provided valuable insights into the exciting world of CTE and STEM education.

Dr. Allison Dishman
Executive Director of Secondary Learning
Republic Schools
Dr. Allison Dishman is currently serving her third year as Executive Director of Secondary Learning. She has been an educator for 18 years and Dr. Dishman has been a Republic Tiger for the past seven years, first serving as the Republic Middle School Principal. Prior to joining Republic Schools, Dr. Dishman was the Principal at Pleasant Hope Middle School. Before that, she was a teacher and coach in the Strafford School District. During her career in education, Dr. Dishman has developed a full toolbox of skills that help our secondary departments to continue to grow and effectively meet student needs.
Dr. Dishman holds a degree in Secondary Education, a Graduate degree in Educational Administration, and a Doctoral degree in Educational Leadership. Dr. Dishman also has a vast professional learning experience including response to intervention (RTI) and professional learning communities (PLC) expertise along with Leader in Me coaching/facilitation and continuous improvement strategies.
Dr. John Thompson
Principal, Republic High School
Republic Schools
Dr. John Thompson is the Principal of Republic High School, bringing a wealth of experience over the past 20 years in teaching and educational leadership. He holds a Doctorate in Educational Administration and has served in various leadership roles, including science department chair, head coach, athletic director, assistant principal and principal. Dr. Thompson is passionate about student success, is a servant leader who focuses on building relationships and strives to implement the best opportunities to serve students.
Dr. Mike Dawson
Executive Director, Instruction

Dr. Mike Dawson is an educator and administrator with over 25 years' experience in public schools in California, Iowa, and Missouri. His professional roles include teacher, principal, superintendent, and Chief Learning Officer. Dr. Dawson currently serves as the Executive Director of Instructional Services for the Branson School District. His passion is to create school structures and systems to ensure all students can succeed. Dr. Dawson earned his doctorate degree from the University of Arkansas.
Dr. Gage Tiller
Director, Carthage Technical Center
Carthage Schools
Dr. Gage Tiller serves as the Director of Career and Technical Education in Carthage, MO. He is an avid advocate for CTE and the positive impact it has on equipping students for the future. In addition to his time as Assistant Director and now Director, Dr. Tiller has served as both a Business and Special Education teacher in the Carthage District.
