#TeacherProud Tuesday March 2024

For this month’s #TeacherProud Tuesday we are spotlighting these members:

Jackson R-2 School District

The Jackson R-2 School District is excited to join other school districts across Missouri in celebrating teachers for the great work they do in the classroom. Each week, the Jackson R-2 Leadership team receives nominations of teachers and staff members who go above and beyond the duties of their job, demonstrating excellence in all they do.

This week, we recognize Mrs. Lindsey Ventura at East Elementary! Mrs. Ventura has been in the classroom for 11 years, nine of those have been at East Elementary! She is a team leader for her department at East and includes Gordonville Elementary in all updates and training. She serves on the Professional Learning Community leadership team, District ELA and math curriculum teams, Language Essentials for Teachers of Reading and Spelling training. She is supportive of all her colleagues that teach kindergarten and does whatever it takes to help students learn. Her positive attitude and calming voice helps set the tone in her classroom for learning.

You will see her supporting many District events as well. Whether it is on the sidelines cheering at Jackson football games, raising money for Power Packs through events like the Princess Dance, looking for grant funding to seek additional resources for her classroom, supporting the Jackson R-2 Foundation as they support teachers and staff members, encouraging participation in McTeachers Nights to raise money for teaching and learning grants (where she has won the favorite teacher award many times) or leading the charge of showing school spirit on Fridays, Mrs. Ventura is a proud representative of TEAM JACKSON everywhere she goes!

Help us congratulate Mrs. Ventura! #TeamJackson #JR2StrongerTogether

Marshfield R-1 School District

Woo-Hoo! It's #TeacherProud Tuesday! We are very grateful for each of our dedicated teachers! Check out these awesome Blue Jays! #HeroMakers Brooke Jochen (ELC): Brooke works consistently and diligently with her students. She greets them with enthusiasm when she picks them up from the classroom and all the students want to go to with her, even if they don't have speech work. If you peek in her window, you will always find her engaged with students. Shanna Hayes (Hubble): Ms. Hayes works tirelessly to go above and beyond her job description. She does a wonderful job in educating and inspiring her students to be the best they can be. Lauren Lancaster (Webster): She treats everyone with such kindness and remains such a positive influence at all times. The kids that are in her class and the kids that have been in her class say she is the happiest person every day. That is success. Connie Guzman (Shook): She is a phenomenal person and educator. She will do anything for her students: finding resources, advocating for them in IEP meetings, opening her room as a safe space, the list goes on! She's organized and communicates clearly with families and classroom teachers, so then everyone is on the same page. Connie listens to teachers and students both, and really makes them feel heard and seen. Her heart is for people and it's obvious in the way she cares for her coworkers and kids. Andy Myers (JH): He is able to not only connect with students, but also helps them connect the events of the past to the lives they lead in the present. He cares deeply about the learning, and he cares deeply about his students, both as a teacher and a coach Marshfield is blessed to have him as a Blue Jay! Andrea Lee (HS): Mrs. Lee is a one-of-a-kind teacher. She genuinely cares for her students and takes time to build relationships with them. Education is important, but Mrs. Lee knows that students need more than just someone that is going to teach the subject matter. They need caring adults in their lives and that is just what Mrs. Lee is.
