Congratulations to to our Member District, Nixa Public Schools for earning Missouri's 2022 Gold Star School award for Nixa High School. The program, which uses the same criteria for nomination as the National Blue Ribbon Schools Program sponsored by the U.S. Department of Education, recognizes schools for outstanding academic achievement or for performing at high levels while serving a significant proportion of disadvantaged students.
Congratulations to two of our Member Districts for earning DESE's 2022 Missouri Purple Star designation, the first ever for the State of Missouri:
- Miller R-II School District
- Plato R-V School District
This designation is awarded to military-friendly local education agencies that have demonstrated a major commitment to students and families connected to our nation’s military, including active duty, National Guard or Reserve members, and military veterans.
